This magnificent edifice is the symbol of the town and its area. It is located on the hill above the town. It was, most probably, built in 1439. It was built on 399 meters high hill. Apart from the preserved defensive tower there was a smaller tower in the shape of semicircle. The outer walls are 19.85 meters tall with the sides 13.8 and 11 meters wide. The Donjon has rectangular basis, with the entrance on the first floor which can be reached by stairs, that can easily be removed in case of danger. The high is about 20m and contains the ground floor and three floors. The tower is made of stone and brick, which are characteristics of the Byzantine brickwork.
