Veliko Gradište is a town in the northeastern part of Serbia, at the banks of the Danube and the Pek. It is 110km away from Belgrade (01h 31min). At the main town square there are: Town house, the church of St. Gabriel, the Archangel, a high school and a library. The most buildings were constructed in Classicist style, with the application of Renaissance, Romanticist elements and Baroque. The very heart of the Gradište’s landscape is the park near the Danube bank, just behind the main square.
