The Nisava river divides Pirot into two parts, an old part of the city called Tijabara and a new part called Pazar. Its shores are between the alley of linden trees, whose length is more than 3 km and whose promenade is one of the most beautiful and wellknown in Serbia. This quay is one of the favourite places of the citizens of Pirot, being the oldest and most popular natural beach in the area, since it is suitable for swimming along its whole length.
