A royal residence of Prince Miloš Obrenović in Topčider, built between 1831 and 1834, is an example of typical Ottoman architecture of the time with whose richly decorated ceilings, walls and niches are mostly preserved to this day. One of the oldest plane trees in Europe, over 160 years old, stands in front of the building. It was recently renovated and is used as a museum. The building is surrounded by Topčider park and a famous restaurant.
