Županija, or The County Hall, was built in 1808. However, completion and restoration of the building didn’t begin until 1880. The old facade was completely replaced with a new one, in a more decorative, eclectic style. Additionally, two lateral steeples and the rear of the building were also added, giving the building its final rectangular shape. The building is surrounded by a park with coniferous yew trees dominating the area in front of the building and a large number of plane trees and European nettle trees inside the park. The County Hall has 200 rooms, chambers and halls.
