Located in downtown Belgrade, Zeleni Venac is a square built in an area that used to be part of the trench which surrounded the Kalemegdan fortress in the 18th century. The most notable feature in this area is the outdoor green market open since 1924. The square is very busy with traffic and pedestrians and leads to the Branko bridge that connects Old and New Belgrade divided by the Sava river.
