The construction of the first railroads in Serbia began in the second half of the 19th century, and the oldest among them is the one that passed through Vršac in 1858 and connected Timisoara, Vršac and Jasenovo. The imposing building of the railway station called “Balkan architectural beauty” was built of clinker bricks. In recent years railway station has been very attractive to film producers, who were filming scenes for some of the most popular films and series in Serbia there.
